Our authenticity process

At Rocky Label, authenticity is everything. Every designer piece we use starts with careful sourcing and strict verification.

Sourcing from trusted platforms
We source a large part of our designer items through well-known and trusted platforms in Japan and Paris.

Japan is globally known for its strict regulations on counterfeit goods. Selling fake designer items is illegal and highly enforced, which makes the Japanese resale market one of the most reliable in the world. Platforms and auction houses there work with professional authentication teams and detailed grading systems, ensuring a high level of trust and transparency.

In Paris, we work with established vintage suppliers and networks that specialize in authentic luxury goods.

Additional sourcing & in-house authentication
We also source through other platforms and private channels. These items are always authenticated by us before being used.

Our authentication process is based on multiple checkpoints, including:

  • Material & canvas quality
We check texture, color tone, and overall finish. Authentic designer materials have a very specific look and feel.
  • Stitching & craftsmanship
We analyze stitch count, alignment, and consistency. Luxury brands have precise and high-quality stitching standards.
  • Logo & monogram placement
Patterns are carefully aligned on authentic items. We check symmetry, spacing, and placement.
  • Hardware details
Zippers, buttons, and engravings are reviewed for weight, color, and branding accuracy.
  • Interior stamps & codes
We verify brand stamps, fonts, and where applicable serial numbers or date codes, based on brand-specific formats.
  • Wear & aging
Natural aging (like patina on leather) is assessed to match the expected wear of authentic vintage pieces.

When needed, we combine this with external verification methods or documentation from the original source.

Our promise

We only work with authentic, pre-owned designer materials.
Each piece is carefully selected, checked, and given a second life through Rocky Label.
